Natural, cat-eye, squirrel — on almond eyes all three read clean straight off the tray, because the shape needs no correction. They are the looks studios pull most for almond clients in the trays we produce for EU and US markets. The looks first; the build behind each, and why it works, below.

The shape under the looks
The looks above are built on the geometry below. Tap a drawing for the reasoning.
The shape — almond eyes+ why− close
Almond Eyes, before any extensions. Lid tapers evenly from a centred arc to a slightly lifted outer corner — the balanced baseline other shapes are mapped against.
Why this build works on almond eyes
Because the shape needs no correction, mapping for almond eyes is about preserving proportion, not fixing it. The working rules our maps encode: keep adjacent zones within 1mm of each other on natural sets (bigger jumps kill the believable read), build cat-eye progressively with the largest step in the last two zones, and keep squirrel peaks under the brow arch — around 70% across — so they don’t collapse into a cat-eye.
The build — sample map+ how− close
Every look above is built from a zone map like this one — the zone structure of this shape’s natural-classic map, inner to outer, from our mapping matrix. Exact lengths, curls and thickness unlock in the Style Matcher below. This is one of fifteen maps we chart for this shape; the full set covers all five effects across classic, hybrid and volume.

A symmetric centre peak that rounds the eye. Worth flagging to clients who want to keep the elongated almond line.
Cat Eye+ more− close
Cat Eye+ more− close
A progressive build pairing longer lengths with stronger curls at the corner — without overloading the outer zones with heavy diameters.
Squirrel+ more− close

Peak between centre and outer corner, tapering back down after it. A frequent pick when clients want lift that still reads soft.
Wispy+ more− close

A natural base with spikes 2–3mm above it at 7–10 points per eye. Skipped on weak or damaged natural lashes — spike weight concentrates load.

We make the trays these maps call for — private label, from the fiber up: classic lashes, volume lashes, easy fan and premade fans, plus the adhesives and studio tools behind them. Mixed-length trays (7–15mm) cover a full zone map from a single tray.

- Which lash styles suit almond eyes?
- Almond eyes carry every mainstream effect — natural, doll, cat, squirrel and wispy all map cleanly because the shape needs no correction. Studios choose by the look the client wants rather than by shape constraints.
- What curls are used on almond eyes?
- C and CC dominate almond maps, with D reserved for the outer third of cat-eye sets. This mirrors overall EU/US consumption, which is built on the C/CC/D base.
- What should be avoided when mapping almond eyes?
- Length jumps over 1mm between adjacent zones on natural sets, and heavy diameters concentrated at the outer corner — both break the balanced proportions the shape starts with.
